White Plains Native Linda Reiter, Valhalla PTA Photographer/Historian, Dies At 35

A Valhalla PTA photographer and historian who was a native of White Plains, Linda Reiter, died Friday, Aug. 23 at age 35.

Linda Valentina Reiter, of Valhalla, was born in White Plains on Feb. 14, 1984, to Emanuela and Bartolomeo Scalici. 

Reiter graduated from Bucknell University with a bachelor of science degree in mathematics in 2006.

She and husband, Benjamin married in White Plains on July 19, 2008. In 2013, after working for seven years as an analyst, she left her job to begin her new career as a full-time mother. 

Reiter is survived by her husband, Ben, and her son, Ryan; parents Bartolomeo and Emanuela Scalici; and sisters Caterina Scalici and Patricia Scalici-Kruger, and brother-in-law Lucas Kruger.

She was active in the Valhalla PTA as a photographer/historian, and "was uniquely filled with God’s spirit to serve, encourage, and love the people around her and around the world," the obituary said.
